Leadership capability is a critical component to an organization’s overall competitive strategy. Hence, it is important that organizations take the time to understand the best ways to enhance this capacity. One of the methods is through leadership development. I believe it is important to focus on leadership development to maintain a unification within the organization. By developing most of the leadership within a company it can be easier for the company to operate as a unified operation no matter the department of leadership this also allows a level of reliability that can be place on leadership at all levels decreasing the workload across all levels of management and allowing for a greater focus on competitive strategy within the operation. The most effective approach to leadership development is to utilize training programs that aspiring employees can utilize and from the programs the company can mold successful and intuitive leaders.
